DESIGN AWARD
Pathfinder is a series of pavilions embedded within the historic Fort Canning park grounds, forming an exterior part of Singapore 2019 Bicentennial celebration. The jury commended the designers’ efforts for going beyond the call of the Client’s brief for an exhibition design, by contributing additional layers of content and meaning integrated within the architecture of pavilion. The use of a simple element; a 3-dimensional steel lattice replicated into an expansive grid is differentiated through its multiple applications for different moments to complement the content. The result is an exhibition design that carried depth, incorporating Art into Architecture and binding the two as one, in this skillful display.
