MERIT AWARD
399 Little Lonsdale is a 35-storey hotel tower with a podium of retail spaces in the City Center of Melbourne, Australia. The Jury applauds the project, as it is a thoughtful urban intervention that achieves a good ground and podium design with sensitivity to street scale and maintains a connection to and within the city. This is in keeping with the city’s unique characteristics of laneways. The tower, with a façade designed in an attempt to disguise the transition of floors, was found to be simple yet sleek.
